(Serena Hanna/Jones is graduating from College of Conflict
Management at Kent State University. We will be updating
our readers on her job placement. ATVC is pleased and
proud she is using her talents for conflict resolution.)
I am consistently encouraged to continue my path pursuing conflict management by the frequent emails of job listings by the department. It’s exciting to think about what’s out there waiting for me after I graduate. There are also many opportunities for internships, fellowships, and studying abroad, which is a goal of mine someday. There are positions available all over the world, including India, Guatemala, Washington D.C. and Oregon. Careers entitled “Dispute Resolution Specialist” and “Mediation Program Coordinator” give me hope that the courses I am taking will prepare me for making a difference in these fields. The prospect of working with such organizations as The Mahatma Gandhi Institute of Education for Peace and Sustainable Development and TheAlliance for Peacebuilding, whose values are so in line with my own, gives me great inspiration to continue on this journey.
At the bottom of About Us you will find a downloadable list of organizations working towards peace, justice, and nonviolence.
